Event Details
Kanazawa University Museum hosts the special exhibition "Delicious Archives — Tracing the Processes and Culture of Food." This exhibition is curated by students enrolled in the Museum Studies Practicum at our university. From setting the theme and researching materials to creating display panels and captions, assembling the exhibits, and designing posters and flyers, the students have carried out nearly all aspects of museum work themselves.
This exhibition will provide an opportunity to reconsider "eating" as an essential part of our lives from the three perspectives of "ingredients," "cooking," and "dining scenes" under the theme of "food." Through materials related to "food" in the collections of Kanazawa University Library and Museum, this exhibition invites visitors to discover various food-related cultures—such as ingredients, cooking methods, and the landscapes behind them—that we rarely think about in modern times. At the same time, it aims to provide an opportunity to reflect on our contemporary eating habits.
Museum tours by students are also scheduled during the exhibition.
- Scheduled dates and times: December 15 - 19, 12:15 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. each day
