On September 15, Kanazawa University students and Lecturer Kaisei Harada from the Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Human and Social Sciences, held the Noto Recovery Market, selling Noto products, at two locations in Kumamoto and Tokyo.
In Kumamoto, at the home stadium of Roasso Kumamoto, Lecturer Harada and Kanazawa University students, together with students from Kumamoto Gakuen University, sold products at the Wajima morning market, mainly marine products, Wajima-nuri trays, chopsticks, and other items.
In Tokyo, at Waseda the Earth Thanks Giving Day 2025 held at Waseda University, students from the Volunteer Support Station, an extracurricular activity group of Kanazawa University, sold marine products from the morning market and original goods of Juzo shrine in Wajima City, together with people from the shrine.
Through the Noto Recovery Market, they have worked to revitalize the economy of Noto, promote Noto culture, and prevent the damage caused by the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake and the 2024 Okunoto Torrential Rain Disasters from fading away.
